A great product at a great price!
If you like rice as much as I do, this is a great way to wash the rice before you cook it. It has small holes in the bottom so the rice doesn't slip through and slotted holes at the top to drain off the rest of the water. This was a great product at a great price. Very light and sturdy. I haven't used it to wash veggies or fruits yet but I imagine it would do a great job. The size of it was not what I expected. Much larger. Perfect for washing rice and other small grains. Widely used by Japanese and Korean cooks, and they know a thing or two about preparing rice! I was concerned that the points of some grains may get trapped in the tiny holes at the bottom making it fiddly to clean but this has not been a problem. Wash your rice, dump it in the rice cooker, a quick rinse of the bowl and it can be left to dry on the dish rack. Perfect for washing rice and other small grains. Then pour in a cup of your favorite ri ce and stir. After a minute or two, pour the water off the rice into a clear glass. Then hold the glass up to the light and tell me whether you want to drink that crud. Remember, oxes poop in most rice fields. Buy the bowl and use it.This is a great rice cleaning bowl. I never knew what I was missing!
This is hands-down the best strainer I have ever used , it has drain holes in all the right places and you can clean your rice off perfectly while the starchy water drains out of the bottom and sides in a perfect manner
