Great product...just what I needed.
Bought for my little teardrop camper with limited storage space. It fit the bill perfectly. I had to try it out first and was happy with the results. It is SMALL....take a look at the photos...but feels to be made well and does its job just like the big boys....I cooked a long grain Basmati and it was fluffy and perfect. HOWEVER I didn't let it cook the entire time as for me any way it would have been over cooked...so I won't rely on it to turn off when done. It did do some sputtering and I stirred it as the instructions said and it calmed down and I had also added a little butter for the same reason. A a light skin formed on the bottom but since I stopped it early it wasn't a problem. It's hard to see the lines on the inside of the pot so I measured the water for each one to see ... OH and I only used 1 cup of rice and 2 of water and the pot was totally full of rice...so I'm thinking the 1 1/2 might be too much at least with the very long grain rice. Over all I really LOVE the little Black and Decker 3 cup rice cooker and would buy it again.. It's nice cooker...buy and enjoy...I plan to.

Don’t recommend
Nonstick doesn’t work. Rice burns every time. Steamer vent hole is too big. Why isn’t there a rubber gasket to partially cover the hole. Rice comes out burnt on the bottom and partially uncooked. This is not a Black and Decker I would recommend. A waste of my hard earned money.

Great for two retired people
We purchased this rice cooker because we got tired of purchasing the pre-packaged frozen rice dishes. We cook rice with our own frozen vegetables and cut up chicken twice a week and the cooker does an absolutely great job and I assume the ingredients do not have the filler, etc. Works wonderful at such a low price,

Small rice cooker
I like everything about this except one thing, it seems to get too hot and has a tendency to boil over some unless I put a very small amount in it. I'm going to try putting a thin metal sheet under the pot and see if that disperses the heat some. Otherwise a great unit.
